Stellio Consortium and sbp sonne receive the SolarPACES 2015 Technology Innovation Award

Last Friday schlaich bergermann partner sbp sonne received its third SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award.

On the closing day of the SolarPACES 2015 Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, the Stellio Consortium, comprising schlaich bergermann partner sbp sonne, Ingemetal Solar, and Masermic Mechatronics, received the SolarPACES 2015 Technology Innovation Award for the development of the Stellio Heliostat.

Awarded for the achievements in reducing cost whilst improving energy output, the Stellio is the most cost-efficient heliostat available for commercial solar power plant internationally to date.

sbp sonne is honoured to receive its third SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award with Stellio, after receiving the prize in 2010, for the EuroTrough Collector, and the SolarPACES 2013 award for the UltimateTrough Collector. 

We are thrilled with the recognition and flattered to receive the award at the SolarPACES Symposium, which is the most important conference for Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) technology, attracting more than 500 participants from over 40 countries this year.
