To strengthen our team, we are looking for a structural engineer with an interest in solar energy.
Your tasks
- Independent handling of challenging projects in the field of solar energy generation worldwide (including technical management and further development of projects)
- Definition of requirements and evaluation of complex wind load reports (static and aeroelastic) and their consideration in the modeling of structural models
- Collaboration in technology/product development in the solar sector – focus on serial steel lightweight construction and static and dynamic design of tracking systems
- Collaboration in the preparation of consulting and expert services
- Responsibility for projects in close coordination with management and integration into the overall strategy
- Communication and coordination with partners and clients
Your Profile
- Completed master’s degree in civil engineering
- Professional experience in structural design with in-depth knowledge of aeroelasticity/ wind load assumptions on lightweight structures and/or structural dynamics
- Extensive knowledge of modeling and evaluating nonlinear structural calculations
- Very good knowledge of modern planning and calculation software (e.g. SOFiSTiK, Dlubal, GSA); knowledge of Ansys is desirable
- Ideally, programming skills (e.g. Python) as well as experience in data science and in the evaluation of data sets on climate, weather, and structural behavior
- Experience in the field of renewable energies (wind, solar) and/or structural design review is an advantage
- Independent, goal-oriented, and reliable way of working, as well as a high level of commitment
- Excellent language skills of written and spoken English
