Africa GreenTec – Agri-PV

© Africa GreenTec

schlaich bergermann partner has set itself the goal of actively contributing to climate protection and the conservation of natural resources, not only through its project work, but also through sustainable office operations. We offset unavoidable emissions by supporting various projects and partners.
As part of the research project “Re-To-Dosso” conducted by TH Köln and Abdou Moumouni University of Niamey, we planned an Agri-PV system for Africa GreenTec in Niamey, Niger, for dual land use – agriculture and energy production – thereby achieving carbon neutrality for the years 2022/23. The use of traditional building materials and local working methods were at the heart of the planning.
