We are pleased to announce the completion of our parking lot solar power plant for the German Pension Insurance Braunschweig-Hannover.
On an area of around half a hectare, more than 630 kWp of bifacial solar modules now generate over 500 MWh of clean electricity per year and thus make a substantial contribution to the regional energy transition.
The Innovative tension structure works almost entirely without solid steel beams and requires only 30 kg/m² of steel per module area, significantly less than conventional solutions. This reduces CO₂ emissions during construction by around 100 metric tons. At the same time, the minimized use of steel keeps the space beneath the system open and bright: light passes through semi-transparent modules and uncovered areas and can be optimally used via the bifacial effect.
In addition to its elegant weather protection, the concept integrates green spaces between the modules and permeable surfaces, completely without soil sealing.
We would like to thank all partners involved for the excellent collaboration on this flagship project.
